All of God’s promises are YES & AMEN

2 Corinthians 1:20

A young couple’s story of provision.

“He blesses our trust in him, and our obedience 100% of the time.”

One of the biggest ways that I have seen the provision of God was last year during the famous 2020—one of the toughest financial seasons for my husband and I. Right when things were getting crazy with the lockdowns, God asked my husband to quit his job.

We had a 3 month old at the time, and his job was considered essential. You bet your bottom dollar giving up that security was a HUGE test of obedience for my hubby. But God came through over and over, and we didn't lack a thing.

There was one point in July of 2020 where it seemed God's provision was slowing down. At a moment when we could have wallowed in panic, we decided to rest in God and spent a relaxing day with friends. While hanging out, God spoke to me, "They are going to give you a check for $1,000." I even saw a picture of the check. I thought “uh, yay!” —I put it out of my mind knowing if it was God, it would happen without me.

The day came to a close, and we were in our car about to leave when my husband handed me a folded piece of paper, saying, "They just gave this to me." I unfolded it to find it was in fact a check for $1000. As you can imagine, this check helped us so much.

In addition, God was faithful to provide a job for my husband right when we needed it.

God is so good! He blesses our trust in him, and our obedience 100% of the time.

Trusting God when things look scarce:

  1. Share with God your concerns about your finances and ask him to share his thoughts. Write down what you hear him say.

  2. Sometimes we are to rest & wait... and other times we are to be proactive. Ask the Lord if there is something you can do to partner with God in his provision for you. Then respond in obedience.

  3. Remain confident of God's desire to help you. If doubt or fear tries to whisper concern... instead declare the promises of provision, to encourage and build your confidence in God's faithfulness to provide.

Your provision is coming.
